Locally sourced, organic and vegetarian in France, in the south of France???? Yes please. The owner is delightful and chatty, so caring, and the patio is heavenly. The food is absolutely delicious and beautiful, GF options too. Small menu so you know it's fresh. If I could go back I would (but we were just riding through Périgueux).

I would give them 6 stars if I could. Fantastic service, the owner moved a table outside to accommodate me eating alone. Proper home cooked food. Reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend 👌 Nettle pie to start, followed by vegetable lasagne, lovely glass of white wine.

Une pépite pour les amateurs de cuisine végétarienne ! Izba est une belle découverte à Périgueux. L’ambiance est chaleureuse, la décoration soignée, et surtout, les plats sont un vrai régal. Tout est préparé avec des produits frais et de saison, sublimés par une cuisine inventive et savoureuse. Les saveurs sont équilibrées, les assiettes bien présentées et les portions généreuses. Le service est impeccable : souriant, attentionné et de bon conseil. On sent une vraie passion derrière chaque plat. Mention spéciale pour les desserts qui sont à tomber ! Que vous soyez végétarien ou non, c’est une adresse incontournable. Je recommande les yeux fermés et j’ai hâte d’y retourner !

A lovely surprise to find a dedicated vegetarian/GF restaurant in Périgueux, (let alone in France). Delicious food, lovely setting (in spite of the rain) and everybody taken care of very kindly.
