Restaurant Oxalis — Restaurant in Périgueux

We booked this restaurant for lunch in Périgueux, and it went beyond our expectations.

There are two seating areas – one on the ground level and another in a vaulted cellar. We were seated in the cellar, which was pleasantly cool during the summer.

At lunchtime, they offer a three-course menu. For each course, there are two options, and you can choose either a 3-course meal for €25 or enjoy all six dishes (2-2-2) for €40. The three courses we had were fantastic.

The menu is in French, and the staff spoke only a little English, but we managed to communicate without any problem.

This is definitely another place we would recommend for a lunch stop...

Spectacular meal. Everything was seasoned perfectly, each course plated beautifully, and paired thoughtfully with a glass of wine. I highly recommend that you add the wine pairing to your meal! I’m still floating after an incredible meal tonight. Everyone in my party was so satisfied. The staff were accommodating and friendly, even though we didn’t speak much French at all. I wish I could go to this restaurant...
