My word, the food was an experience in this place. The staff were lovely, attentive and patient and provided English menus as they could tell my french was basic. The atmosphere was so cosy and nice, I felt truly relaxed. Then the food came. I don't think I've ever tasted so many beautiful flavours in one sitting. Bone marrow was cooked to perfection and paired with the crusty bread. I had to stop myself licking the bones. Then came the beef cheek. Meat so tender it came apart from one stroke of my fork. A sauce with a hint of red wine, beef and a number of other flavours my unrefined palette couldn't detect. The dauphenese was a great pairing. Then the chocolate ganache. If I was being filmed, I'd be used in an advertisement for this ganache. Every bite was followed by involuntary "mmmm". My heart almost stopped beating when I realised that the plate was empty and I'd eaten it all. My first heartbreak in Paris. I honestly could write a love letter to this meal but since it's just a review on Google I'll stop and tell you to just go try it. Don't even think about it. Thank you so much to Chez Mamy and the lovely staff for making my evening. Merci beaucoup...

The food was fine, the steak was well cooked, a bit chewy but overall fine. The home wine was good, the place is ok. What was terrible was the just the service. I reserved this restaurant on the Fork selecting only restaurants allowing to pay through the app. When about to pay, the waitress and the restaurant director (so she described herself) said the don't accept payment through the fork app. So far all fine, anybody can make an honest mistake. What was horrible was the waitress attitude. I tried to explain her that they stated on their own restaurant page on the fork app to accept this form of payment (which was afterward confirmed by the fork app customer service). Well, not a single apology about their mistake...all she had to say was that she didn't care whatsoever what the restaurant page said...she had no intention to listen and try to find a solution...or at least apologize. The best she could do was to threaten to call the police. Too bad, overall the kitchen is okay but service...

We have lived in the Faidherbe-Chaligny area for over two decades and have tried several restaurants, including the very popular ones (e.g. Bistrot Paul Bert, Au Petit Panisse, which have sometimes been disappointing), yet we had never tried Chez Mamy. After our first dinner there last night, we consider that Chez Mamy is a top choice. We rate it very highly on all aspects: the cuisine is very refined with many slightly revisited classics (oeuf mayonnaise, joue de boeuf). The seafood (couteaux and aile de raie) as well as the desserts were excellent. The service was professional and friendly and the dining room is pleasant and the noise level very tolerable. We look forward to returning in warmer weather and dining on the delightful terrace. Thank...

Absolutely delicious food. It was the best meal in my trip to Paris. My partner had salmon with creamed potatoes flavoured with mustard and lemon and I had a quinoa risotto with basil and feta accompanied by a bottle of excellent wine. Pudding was a chocolate mousse with chantilly cream for him and abcheese plate - tomme, roquefort, chèvre - for me. I’m a cheese connoisseur and the roquefort was absolutely stand-out quality. Bill was 146 euros. We had fabulous service. It's a neighbourhood restaurant serving traditional French food with a stylish contemporary edge. Recommended!

the food was amazing. really cosy place! we ate the le paleron de boeuf de mamy and it was so good. the beef was cooked to perfection and the sauce was absolutely delicious. we also ate a chicken with mushroom sauce and it was equally good. the chicken was so tender and the mushroom sauce was extremely rich. you can really tell that a lot of thought was put into every aspect of the dish. the waiter was very attentive and sweet as well. would definitely recommend this place to everyone and come here again when i revisit paris. :-)
