Shocking discrimination. I come here daily for coffee, yet today, despite many tables only having drinks, coffee and cola, the staff rudely insisted I order food or leave. After I took place, they broght covers to show that I need to order, and when I argued that probably I need coffee first after that I will order food, they used an abrupt, disrespectful, and completely uncalled for tone.
Regular customers and generally customer service clearly mean nothing to them.
One star just for this disgraceful and unfair treatment. Never coming back.

The food is really good, they seem to have picked the recipes that they can actually deliver. They offer also English menus, so if you're a tourist in Montparnasse a bit overwhelmed this is a safe option, which I can definitely recommend. Read moreWhile visiting Paris, our hotel was near Cocotte and we decided to have lunch after a day of traveling. We enjoyed our lunch and beverages, so we decided to try out dessert. Nothing disappointed us - so much so that we returned every evening for a nightcap! The staff are friendly and welcoming (Sarah is a delight!), and they welcomed us back each night. The atmosphere is laid back and a great spot to unwind after a busy day of seeing the sights and enjoying everything Paris has to offer. I would highly recommend stopping by Cocotte - I hope to return to Paris and if I do, I will return for a cocktail and dessert...
