For an Indian Palate, Not Satisfactory!

Went to this restaurant with a friend after seeing all the ads and the hype around Paris. It looked super promising, but honestly, paying €50 for food that didn’t taste anywhere close to authentic Indian was disappointing.

We ordered: 👉 Samosas 👉 One Vada Pav each 👉 Two drinks 👉 Gobi Tikka

The three stars are just for the Vada Pav that was actually nice. But the Gobi Tikka? Way too soft, like it was boiled before being pan-fried, and totally bland. The green chutney had a strong, off taste because of the yogurt they used. The samosas didn’t look Indian at all, made with pastry sheets instead of the usual crust. The filling was okay though, and drinks were good!

Honestly, this place feels like it’s made for locals who aren’t used to real Indian flavours. Would’ve loved to see them introduce French folks to authentic Indian spices instead of toning everything down. You don’t have to make it super spicy, just make it flavourful and real!

Beautiful décor, yes but sadly, the food doesn’t live up to it. Service was friendly, but being asked more than twice if we were enjoying the food got a bit annoying.

If you’re Indian and craving authentic Indian food, this isn’t the place. Not worth the price for something that doesn’t remind...

I was quite disappointed with my experience here. Coming from the city that these dishes are supposedly inspired from, the food felt noticeably overpriced for the quality offered. The starters are reasonably acceptable, though still slightly overpriced, and the options for mains are quite limited. Unfortunately, the flavors also feel very basic and don’t reflect authentic or refined Indian cuisine. The atmosphere tries to give off a certain vibe, but it comes across as more of a “wannabe” setup rather than something genuine. Small details become irritating when you look closely such as the Indian flag displayed outside, which is missing the Ashoka Chakra 🇮🇳. For a restaurant claiming to represent Indian cuisine, this is a surprisingly careless oversight. Overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations in terms of taste, authenticity, or value for money. I hope the restaurant takes these points into consideration and improves...

The vibes in this place are amazing! Loved the deco, especially in the little corridor that connects the front room and the back room.

Loved the staff - so friendly and welcoming.

What I liked: MAH sour cocktail was really cool. The flavours were complex and rich! The “not-green” palak paneer was great (loved that you guys make your own paneer). cardomom affogato omg 😨

What could do better Samosas were not Indian samosas. Even though they tasted good, I was expecting Indian samosas but these were not it. If you plan on serving samboussek pastry with potato filling, please at least clarify in the menu. the Dal-coco was a miss for me. Didn’t have the rich and deep flavour that’s served in goan coco dahl. It was just a coconut soupe de lentilles found in every Parisian salad place these days, not at all authentic or interesting.

Overall, a great restaurant and I can’t wait to go back...

Really worth the visit!! As an Indian living abroad, finding a good Indian restaurant is like searching for nirvana — rare, spiritual, and full of disappointment… until now! 😄 The food here hits all the right notes — flavorful, comforting, and actually tastes like home. The atmosphere is amazing too — warm, vibrant, and full of life (just like a proper Indian dinner table). I’m definitely coming back with my French friends — though I might warn them first that “mild” in India still means “adventurous” in France 🌶️🇮🇳🇫🇷
