This is what fine dining should consist of; this is how fine pleasure should taste. This is the piece de resistance of easy-going refinement.
As many reviewers have commented, you should not be daunted by the unremarkable street on which this wonderful restaurant is based because its inauspicious appearance (only from the outside) is immediately dispelled upon entering an establishment with beautiful, historical provenance as an apothecary. Once dispensing healing potions and now rejuvenating nourishment.
Service from Flo and Andrea was hospitable, courteous, professional and helpful, with superb wine recommendations from Andrea, especially.
I dined on two consecutive nights and would highly commend the Charolais beef fillet which was tender, succulent, rich without being heavy and also ethically-reared, consequently producing a taste that was pleasingly beautiful.
My dining guests had the pleasure of enjoying different starters: octopus and braised fennel, respectively and showed solidarity for the succulent sea-bass, as well. Both loved their dishes!
Ganache to finish, left collective taste buds and hearts melting for more of everything.
On the nights that we were there, the restaurant was lively with locals and just the one table occupied by visitors to Paris but whether you speak French or are a newcomer, this is a restaurant that will welcome you and must be experienced if seeking to dine like a discerning French person.
It is a remarkable place, serving remarkable food and deserving more than just a mention in the...

A wonderful dining experience at Jouvence, well deserving of its Michelin recognition in 2024 and 2025. The menu is seasonal, creative, and beautifully executed. We loved the braised fennel starter and grilled octopus both bursting with flavor and originality.
The mains (veal loin and Blonde d’Aquitaine steak) were perfectly cooked and paired with great vegetables and sauces. Special mention to the wine service (and overall service): instead of just handing us a list, the staff asked about our preferences (light or structured, budget), then recommended four great options. We chose the Bourgogne Saint-Martin 2022, a lovely match for our meal.
Desserts were just as impressive, especially the rhubarb tartlet and strawberry sablé. We finished with two ginger, lemongrass & carrot infusions, which were a perfect end to the meal.
The bill was 200€ for two including water and wine absolutely worth it. It was a bit warm inside, so we asked to finish on the terrace. The team kindly checked bookings and let us move out, where we stayed comfortably for another hour.
Great food, attentive service, and thoughtful hospitality. Highly...
Read moreSuch a pleasure to dine here. Respectful of my maladie coeliaque. Clean. Well positioned. A well kept secret.
On one hand, it is hard to want (too many) more more people to discover this charming little restaurant. On the other hand, it would be a disservice to their exceptional effort-to not include a few of the kind words one might fairly use to describe this fantastic little place.
From the unassuming atmosphere, to the polite and attentive service, this was my favorite dining spot; on a recent visit to Paris. The food did not remind me of my grandmother's cooking, yet was oddly reminiscent of it. Almost, as though it were conjuring memories of times long past...whatever the sorcery, or culinary nostalgia employed, it was wonderful. After the meal, I mentioned this feeling to our server, and they seemed delighted to confirm this as indeed the intention of the chef. Little wonder that the restaurant's name is "Jouvence" or "Youth" in English.
If I return to Paris, and they persist, I will schedule 2 or 3 visits, instead of just one! Thank...
