My partner and I were staying at a local hotel and chose Le Maximilien because of its convenient location. The staff provided a warm welcome and we were very impressed by the food: it was clear that quality ingredients had been used and the taste and presentation were excellent. This is a fantastic place to have Couscous Kabyle, served in perfect style between Thursday and Sunday. I liked it so much that I returned for an equally decent Salade Auvergnate at lunch the next day. Desserts are recommended as well - the Café Gourmand is actually quite copious, and the Dame Blanche came with the biggest hat of whipped cream I've ever encountered.
