I spend an amazing new years eve at Onze à Table. For NYE my partner and I were looking for a good quality restaurant, intimate (not too big), with a nice menu and which wouldn't costs us 1 kidney each... That's like trying to find a needle in a haystack... :)) I am extremely happy we foudn OaT and decided to spend our NYE with them because they ticked all the boxes and some more. They are the type of restaurant that you always hope to find. The restaurant is intimite without being tiny, team was attentive, explaining the wines and food and having a great time together with guests, the food more than amazing. What for me made the absolute difference is the attention, you could see the team thought how they could create a great atmosphere for NYE, they handed out small party hats and gifts which made the evening even better, they sent a texto the day after to thank everybody and ask for feedback. For me this is a great addition to the 11th and we will definitely...
Read moreI can’t recommend this place based on my experience. This is our friend’s pre pandemic favorite restaurant and I was pretty excited to try it, especially when I saw the high rating. Maybe my expectation was too high to begin with, but come on I didn’t expect too much to have fresh ingredients. I can’t believe they gave wilted toppings on my food that’s not a sub part pricing item. Oh, I don’t buy the excuse of “accident” as you can’t accidentally put something wilted like this in all dishes. I wouldn’t expect that from a cheap place. That’s really disappointed me the most. Plus, the flavor of the food is so so. I have way better food in place that’s why cheaper in Paris. Did they think that it’s dark in the evening I wouldn’t notice it? Well, good business wouldn’t cheat even there is no body watching. That tells me a lot...
Read moreI enjoyed a good meal here on an evening while traveling solo in France. The food was well-prepared, the atmosphere was charming inside, though I sat outside for some people-watching. It was a typical French dining experience - un-rushed and pleasant (be sure to make a reservation online - their system is easy and it smooths the whole process of getting a table). They even allowed me to practice my French, which is only serviceable, at best! I ate early on this particular evening, so the night-life wasn’t up and running quite yet, but the street was getting lively by the time my meal ended (with a fine assortment of cheese - and butter, to which, when asked about the butter, the waitress replied « I don’t know, it tastes good with the compote, we are French, this is normal »). She was right - it was...
