The pictures on the booking sites look fantastic, which is why my husband and decided to stay here for 2 nights, while on our honeymoon in Paris. We could not have been more disappointed when we got our room. We were told it was an upgraded room. I would be afraid to see what a regular room looked like. It had a feel of uncleanliness overall. The bathroom had dirt and dust and hairs. The tv did not work. The rain shower spewed water out of the side at the shower wall and not on you. The floor tile felt grimy. The bed linens had other's hairs and stains, and the bed was hard as a rock. We slept in our clothes on top of the covers with hoodies on our heads. We checked out the next morning and luckily found another hotel. They did offer to change our room at that point, but I question why they would even have rooms like this at all. We did not accept the offer. If you stay here, beware that some rooms are not as shown in the photos. I would not recommend this hotel. This is more like a 2 star with an old motel feel. The location was good. That is the only positive I can say about this place. The elevator was scary too. I...
Read moreMy friend and I just returned from 6 days in Paris and we stayed here. I just loved our room. We had a two twin beds, and it was slightly tight for two women, but it worked just fine for us. The location is kind of far from the top Paris sites, however it is right by the Oberkampf station (I believe) and right by a bus stop, so no problems catching the Metro. There are also A TON of restaurants in the surrounding area. The staff were all very nice and we had our room serviced every day. It was so nice coming back to beds made (they even folded our pajamas for us). My only gripe is that the wifi was TERRIBLE. So, if you have any kind of important work to do, do not rely on the wifi. They do have Netflix and Youtube available to log into on the tv, which was nice at the end of the day for a little screen time before bed. I would definitely consider this hotel again when I return to Paris...
Read moreWe had a lovely 5 night stay at this charming hotel. Loved everything about it! Our room was very clean upon arrival (we stayed in a Comfort room); bed was very comfortable; breakfast was excellent with amazingly good bread and pastries provided by Maison Landemaine boulangerie, located nearby. The food selection at breakfast was very good ranging from very tasty scrambled/hard-boiled eggs to fresh fruit , selection of cereals and yoghurts. Great selection of coffee and tea. Street noise in our room was almost non-existent with windows closed; it was fairly noisy with window open however that is to be expected. :). We would like to thank all reception staff who were unfailingly polite and helpful throughout our stay. We had a lovely time at this charming hotel and we hope to return...
