D'Aqui D'AILLEURS — Restaurant in Perpignan

Ok..here we go..went fr Mother's Day (French one is.. last Sunday of May!) lunch. It was recommended by some friends..before lock down. They have relocated the resto to the industrial side of the Perpignan town now. Food is good... But it's what they call "participative"..u have to write yr order on the note pad give it to the counter.(that was not the problem!) The food comes in take away boxes...very nice...But...But.. to eat in them too! That was a bit too much. If we were given plates to turn the dish onto the plate and eat..it wld have been better. If u want a good sit down resto experience.. then u r in the wrong place! Was told that they can't get staff to waitress bcs of Covid.. everyone is on "chomage partiel"..For those not too familiar with the French system..the workers r receiving a % of their pay due to Covid...so working as a waiter/waitresse..When the dole is better paid..work it out..which is more advantageous! Work or not to work! There was a table with Paella for a whole family.. looked really yummy than all...

Really nice decor: walls, lamps, glassware, everything goes together. The food was pretty good but the main course was not really up to the expectations: good taste but I was expecting more. The other small “issue” was the service: he was really professional, friendly and with really good product knowledge but the restaurant got full and he was alone so of course the quality and speed got down. Anyway a really good experience...

Très clairement le meilleur restaurant que j'ai fait ! Premièrement la salle du restaurant est très bien pensée pour les couples autant au niveau de la décoration et du thème que sur la disposition et le nombre des tables dans la salle, je tiens aussi à saluer l'effort sur la vaisselle car les verres les assiettes et même les couverts sortent de l'ordinaire est sont plus originaux qu'ailleurs! C'est un détail mais j'aime les détails ! Deuxièmement le serveur est super super sympathique il nous a très bien accueilli et on vois de suite qu'il aime son métier. Et pour terminer parlons de la nourriture ! La disposition des aliments dans l'assiette est top (encore du détail mais ça fais la différence), la nourriture en elle-même est vraiment de qualité et on le ressent, que des produits frais et originaux, les plats simples sont repensés par la Chef pour leurs redonner toute leurs originalité et ça j'adore.
