We came here because of the reviews. At first we had to wait because there were no available seats and then for service and food. Like that we waited maybe an hour or so. But then when the food arrived we were blown away✨. Believe me when I say I would have waited 3 hours just to get this food. This is something incredible! The assortiment of small dishes that you can get was amazing!!! But then when I tried Kofta, It was something otherworldly!! I was blown away to say the least. I'm kind of an gastronom, so usually not impressed by taste of food, because nowadays it's difficult to find good quality food. But the food that I was served here was probably the best I had in France so far since my arrival. I wasn't even that hungry but licked my plate clean! At some point with the authentic music and lebanese food, I really felt transported to somewhere in Lebanon just by tasting this food. I could feel myself sitting in the streets of Lebanon and just having this good food😌 It is just that powerful the taste of this food. Bravo to the chef! You can see that he really puts his soul into his food. I'm really glad that him and his family are proudly sharing their culture with people in France. We are really lucky to have experienced that! Maybe the reason also why it's so good is because it's a small family buisiness. In honesty this place should become a local attraction for people to come and experience this food. So if you have time to wait and want to experience really good food this definetely is the place. However if you want just some atmospheric place, where you can have a drink and don't care that much about the quality of the food you will find other hundreds of average places to do so in Perpignan. This place is for people who value...
Read moreWe went because of the great reviews, and was surprised to see am empty restaurant, that looked closed. So we kept going and found another plade our first night. We then decided to give it another shot a few days later, to find the same. No guests and half the lights turned off, this time however, we gave it a shot anyways, which looks like came as a shock to the staff, quickly scrambling to get to work, fire up the kitchen and turning on the lights.
They did their best to communicate with us in English, and were very nice to us. The food was served in about 25-30 minutes, which isn't impressive, considering we were their only two customers, but then again, they had to fire up the entire kitchen.
The food was okay, no better or worse than most other Lebanese kitchens I have tried. But the empty restaurant and worn down, tired and dirty restaurant, took a lot away from the overall experience.
After been placed by the window, probably to try to lure in more customers, we had to move, because of the flickering ceiling lights, driving my brother crazy.
So thumbs up for the staff, trying their best, but not a place I would...
Read moreMy husband and I discovered this place because it was one of the places that would deliver to the hospital after I gave birth. We fell in love with it immediately and ordered takeout from them three times during our one week stay. Today, we went to pay our compliments to the chef (and meet him) and ended up staying for lunch. Hamza is a fantastic chef and makes the best falafels I’ve ever eaten. They’re tender on the inside, and so flavourful. The labneh is creamy, refreshing and beautifully balanced and the samboussek are delicious. The maamoul are the perfect way to end the meal. These were my favorites, but there were so many other delicious things on the menu. Besides the food being amazing, Hamza’s company was lovely. He is down to earth and passionate about what he does. He also runs the restaurant singlehandedly which I find impressive for the quality and care that one receives there. I’ve recommended this place to friends and family and I’m now recommending it to anyone who happens to see this review. This place is a gem. If you visit Perpignan and you want to eat well, eat...
