The staff tried their hardest to speak English to us and explain the dishes. I speak a little french but something's I need clarifying and they were brilliant and so, so friendly.. The food was show stopping and it was the most beautiful welcoming place to sit and enjoy fresh french fare. I had crayfish tails and rocket for strarter and my partner had the mussels. Simply dishes cooked beautifully. This was then followed by grilled squid for me and duck with potatoes for her, again mouthwatering, but they saved the best till last, my knick out dessert of bras De gitan something I've never tasted before but wonder how? What a standard to set on our first night in Perpignan....

We were invited By a local couple for 7:30. They brought the escargot 30 mins later. We waited another 45 mins and still no starters. We asked the waiter who said we wanted everything all at once? Finally almost 90 minutes after being seated all the food came out. Nothing was memorable. Lamb overpriced. Aubergine starter boring. Hardly any seasoning or flavors to remember. Pricing out of line with the results. It’s not an easy comfortable restaurant at all. Too bad. Too many other restaurants that are reasonably priced. One of our favorite restaurants in Perpignan. We lucked out on our first visit and were paired with Caroline who speaks several languages, including English. Every time we go, we always request her section. The food is so good and consistent. We often order the grilled chicken, pork cheek, and the calamari, as well as the grilled vegetable appetizers.
