(to preface, I do not speak much French, but got by)
We went for 2 pizzas, a Carbonara (cheese, egg, bacon and parmesan) and a Mimosa (cheese, ham and corn). Whilst we had communication issues (again from not speaking much French), the man running the pizzeria did repeat back our order, that being a Carbonara and a Mimosa pizza.
When we got back to our hotel and opened them, we instead found what looks like a Ortolana and one that does not seem to match any option on the menu. I have attached images to show what we received instead. As shown, they do not match the description of the pizzas we ordered.
We did eat them in the end, as we had no other option at this point, and my partner has said that it hurts their stomach, as well as that the pizza with onions on tastes overwhelmingly so, while the one with mushrooms (the Ortolana?) being spongy and chewy.
I would definitely not recommended...

Good pizza made with genuine and quality ingredients. Two blocks from the train station, so it's an easy walk if you have time before your train comes or leaves and way cheaper than the options in the station (healthier, too). He makes his own spicy oil; don't hesitate to ask for it, but be warned, it's hot ! Chat him up, he's lived and he's interested in people. I'll definitely eat here again. I only gave 4 stars for the food because, hey, it's pizza not gastronomy, and it's a hole in the wall, not luxury dining. But in the category, this is what you want in a hole-in-the-wall pizza place.
Read moreWe came across this cozy pizzaria when we had an overnight stay in Perpignan.
It is a small place but the owner is very welcoming. He even used a translation app to communicate with us which was very pleasant.
The pizza I had was by far one of the best pizzas I ever ate! And my friend agrees. You can taste he makes the food with love.
Will recommend...
