If you haven't ever had Korean BBQ, it's understandable that you don't realise that you cook the food yourself. Second, in most Asian meals, protein is not the main staple. Its the "nice to have" and portions aren't huge slabs of meats as you would expect in North American or European meals. This is as much a cultural experience as a food experience.
Now that we got that out of the way, let me delve in to my experience today at Gougi. My husband and I got the Discovery plate, and our guest the beef. I was pleasantly surprised at the mixed array of meats provided including wagyu beef. A little disappointed that we didn't get to cut the meat ourselves with scissors but nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Meal was provided with a bowl of rice for each, sauces, sides and lettuce leaves. I had fun mixing the flavours of sides and sauces with the variety of meats provided. Different tastes. Textures. I already want to go back.

Deçu du prix trop elevé pour ce que c'est , alors certe la qualité de la viande est là mais ça reste avant tout des petits bouts . On nous dit 180 gr de viande , vu la taille des morceaux je doute ! La salade , le riz , des carottes rapée , un petit ramequin de Kimchi ( pour 2 ) , ça reste de la cuisine asiatique avec des produits de base peu cher . 13 € assiette de champignon bio ... il devait y avoir 4 champignons decoupés en morceaux dans l'assiette. On decide malgré tout de prendre un dessert 10€ . On m'explique que c est une glace coréene a base de glace pilé . Ok pas de soucis , j ai l habitude , aux philippines ils font pareil donc je suis curieux je veux comparer .. 10€ = 1 petit bol rempli a moitié de glace pilé avec du lait concentré sucré dedans , 1 boule de glace , quelques morceaux d'ananas et graines de grenade+ 1 biscuit cassé en 4 genre galette bretonne et une pointe de chantilly de grande surface ...10€ pour essentiellement de l eau dedans ... dans un tout petit bol !!
