Au Comptoir Venitien — Restaurant in Rennes

The size of the restaurant should have been an indicator that the food wasn't going to be good, but following a long journey it was a choice of here, or Mcdonalds, and we thought we should give it a go. Service was a little slow to start, but pleasant throughout, nothing above the minimum. We ordered a lasagne, a pizza and a tartare, all of which were pretty terrible. Lasagne was a dried out portion, either shoved in the microwave, or under the grill. Pizza was soggy, greasy, covered in the cheapest mozzarella and a sweet tomato sauce. The tartare had no flavour at all. For all the description on the menu of quality Charolais beef, it tasted of nothing. Lacking in basic seasoning of salt, pepper, mustard etc. even the Tabasco and Worcestershire placed upon the table couldn't help. Not...

We like to go to this restaurant, as we come to Rennes for time to time and stay in the b&b hotel in the same carpark (no worries to have a drink, cos no driving). Book 4 days in advance a table for 10. But on the day of the booking we we're 13 (haven't been able to get through to them to inform them of the extras). Beeing a Saturday night, they were over busy and booked, but they gave us the conference room (surrounded with cardboard boxes of wine 😁), and we had a great time. A éviter impérativement !!! C'est une usine, avec du personnel incapable. Long pour prendre une commande+erreur dans la commande + demande de retour sans rien voir venir .. 10 min plus tard on amène les plats alors que j'attendais toujours mon apéritif. Un responsable a fait repartir les plats et a ramené mon verre qu'il m'offrait (merci pour le geste) mais on nous amène nos plats 10 min plus tard FROIDS bien entendu. Nous en profitons pour commander des boissons puisque l'on ne nous a rien demandé lors de la commande... Nous avons eu la carte mais jamais personne n'est revenu. Nous avons mangé la moitié du plat froid et sommes partis... 55 euros pour ça... C'est déjà trop !!!! A éviter... Le personnel est incapable . Personne ne gère ses tables, derrière le bar ça rigole pendant que vous attendez désespérément votre apéritif.... Et au moment de payer on ne vous demande surtout pas si tout s'est bien passé !!!! Ça ferait trop mal d'entendre des réclamations !!!! C'est honteux... D'où mon avis disant la vérité sur cet établissement J'étais déjà venue ici il y a longtemps et j'avais été satisfaite.... mais ça a bien changé... Les quantités de légumes sont minables (suprême de volaille au chorizo). Sachant que déjà pour un changement de garniture, cela vous coûtera 1.50€, imaginez si vous en demandez plus.. ce que vous n'arriverez de toute façon pas à faire puisque votre demande restera quelque part entre votre table et la cuisine, sans aboutir bien évidemment. Pour notre part, même si nous avions souhaité un dessert (ce qui n'était pas le cas), personne ne vient vous demander si vous souhaitez autre chose. Bref, pas d'apéritif, pas de boissons, pas de légumes... Cela fait beaucoup. Par contre pour l'attente et le manque de professionnalisme, bravo ! Vous êtes au rdv.
