In all objectivity, we had perfect service. Then I had the worst meal of my life.
The amuse bouche was some sort of mayonnaise. It was tasteless and I think that is what made me sick. They also brought us bread that was decent but mildly stale.
The appetizer was an arancino that could have been great if it contained any salt.
The main course was a 'pressée de porc' that was simply disgusting. Alongside it was a bunch of shrimp that was flavorless, cut into inappropriate and unappetizing pieces, and had the worst possible texture. There was also a little fried ball of boudin noir that was actually okay and I hate boudin noir. Lastly, there was a 'mousseline' of some sort of vegetable that tasted like wallpaper glue and I could not actually finish it (which is against my morals). Finally - what are all of these different things doing on the same plate together??
Overall the meal was shockingly bad. I usually don't leave restaurant reviews, and if I do, they have a positive bias. J'ai beaucoup apprécié le mariage des épices (je ne parle pas de piments) avec un accompagnement de bons vins au choix des différentes envies.
