La Rotonde — Restaurant in Rouen

An authentic French restaurant in the new part of Rouen across the bridge from the old part. Excellent service, delicious food and very friendly and helpful waiters who went out of their way to explain the dishes and also give us directions to the old city. The food was fresh and delicious.. We went for the Plat de Jour. I had the rabbit stew which was just amazing and my husband had the pork tenderloin which he said was very tender and delicious We chose the apple tart for dessert. Ce restaurant surprend tout d'abord par la convivialité qu'il propose : pas de chichis, les vendeurs sont d'un sympathique presque familial, et nous nous sommes même vus nous faire offrir de la chantilly sur un délicieux fondant au chocolat.

Ensuite, la qualité des mets proposés est très élevée : Les viandes sont tendres, les sauces excellentes, et les pâtes cuites a souhait. Les desserts ne sont pas trop sucrés, et concluent donc le repas en beauté !

Le cadre est plutôt bon : nous avons le choix des tables, la route en contact avec le restaurant est interdite aux voitures, ce qui nous permet de déjeuner en toute tranquillité et donc sérénité. Pour finir, le métro est a moins de 10 minutes à pied, l'accès au restaurant est donc très simple.

Le temps d'attente pour obtenir un repas est aussi court qu'un restaurant habituel, voire une ou deux minutes...
