I went here with my family today for lunch and as we are not guests at the hotel, I made a reservation. We got the property early so we can try to claim beach chairs/bed - and we were successful although they only offered us one for our family of 4. It came time for our lunch and we walked up to the restaurant. After giving our name, we had wait for them to figure where we were to he seated. The staff were very pleasant and answered all of our questions and one even suggested a white wine (I forget the name unfortunately)! My husband, boys, and I enjoyed our meals and drinks. Unfortunately the decrease in stars is due to what happened after we paid our expensive bill. A gentleman came to my husband and informed him they have a reservation for hotel guests at our table and we had to leave in 2 minutes. We were all still finishing our drinks. We probably stayed longer than the "2 minutes".
It's unfortunate because we came back to this restaurant after visiting here 2 years ago during our first trip to St Bart's. We were not guests then either. They should consider people enjoying their meals when making reservations. We've eaten at many different types of establishments through our travels and have never experienced this type of rudeness. Read moreDining at La Case is always a magical experience, but Constance at the bar made it truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, her warm smile and impeccable professionalism set the tone for an exceptional evening.
Her expertise in crafting cocktails is unparalleled. Constance took the time to understand our preferences and recommended we try the house-made vanilla rum. It was an absolute highlight—smooth, fragrant, and bursting with flavor. She explained its unique preparation with such enthusiasm that we could tell she genuinely loves what she does.
Beyond the incredible drinks, Constance’s hospitality was second to none. She brought a personal touch to everything, engaging us with thoughtful conversation and ensuring every detail of our experience was perfect. Her passion and dedication transformed our night into something truly special.
If you’re visiting La Case, don’t miss the chance to sit at the bar with Constance—and definitely try the vanilla rum. It’s a taste of paradise that perfectly complements the luxurious ambiance of Cheval Blanc. Bravo, Constance! We can’t...
Read moreStayed at the Cheval Blanc, so the first night we decided to just eat at La Case to keep things easy after a long day of travel. This was my least favorite restaurant of the week, along with Tamarin.
The caviar that we added to our champagne order was on blinis, which I normally love, but the ones they served had a very weird, burnt taste to them. It ruined the whole caviar experience. I ended up just scooping the caviar off the blini because the flavor was so bad.
I actually stopped taking photos of the food because I was not that impressed, so I only have a picture of the caviar and the coconut sorbet dessert to post.
Overall I’d recommend going somewhere else on the island. There are so many good spots to choose from, so I wouldn’t waste another...
