La Tradition — Restaurant in Saint-Denis

Nice restaurant with very personal touches. They have a bar at the front of the restaurant and in back a nice dining experience. You can come in and seat yourself if they are not busy. One of the owners helps you out with translating the menu so that you’re not struggling with google translate. He helped me pick a wine to go with my meal and let me taste it before committing in case I didn’t like it. I went here twice within a 2 week period because it was so close to my rental apartment and both times the menu was different. They write out a daily menu on chalkboard and bring it over to you. Everything they serve is fresh and delicious. The first time I got a linguine and the second time I got a rack of lamb and a dessert (Second day not pictured because I ate it so quickly). The high rating on Google truly reflects our experience. We traveled from Orlando, Florida, to Paris-Saint-Denis for a week, dining at the restaurant twice. My husband enjoyed the sausage entrée so much that he ordered it on both visits. The first time, it was served with delectable mashed potatoes, and the second time, with flavorful roasted potatoes. My brother-in-law raved about the excellent cheeseburger, while the roasted chicken was equally impressive. I was delighted with the pasta and grilled vegetables. We were in Plaine for 3 nights. The first night looking for a place to eat and were directed here. Absolutely the best place. We are non-French speaking but the staff went out of their way to explain the menu to us. The meals were exceptional and the dessert combo was to die for.
