Brasserie du Grizzly — Restaurant in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges

Very bad service gave the impression they were only interrested in making money. Ordered 2 vegetarian pizzas for my pregnant wife and myself which hadn't come an hour later after. I ordered a salad, drinks, some chips and two menus for the kids in between to paliate for the waiting time which I was told should have been max 30 min. When I complained and ask not to have the pizzas anymore since I had an appointment and the kids were now jistering too much, I was told they were in the making and they would not want to throw away the 30 euro asking price on top of a already €58 bill. It took speaking to the person in charge explaining the situation multiple time for them not to charge pizzas that had not materialised yet on top of the bill. At the end of the ordeal, the kids did not get their full menus even though it was paid for but a small pizza full of bacon which I expressly ask to bring without. Great disappointment for my wife and I. Otherwise the waiter was polite and there were booster seat for the kids which I found amazing. A real pity since I had in mind to visit again with family...

Wasn’t great. Was really looking forward to the cheese fondue, that’s why we went in the first place. We took the La Fondue au Lard, which we understood from the card was cheese fondue with bacon chips next to it, we chose this one cause my partner likes bacon, I personally don’t but since it was separate it would be a fine choice. However when we got it there was bacon inside the fondue itself which obviously I was not too pleased with and so I asked them to replace it with a normal one, free of cost or if not possible then at least with a discount since it wasn’t written clearly on the card. They said they weren’t willing to change the fondue and said that if I wanted a different I should pay the full price again.

Overall, it’s pretty pricy and the experience was not too great.. So we will not go there again.

Giving the service a 3 star rate cause the girl serving us was nice though and did understand the / our situation but she couldn’t help us cause her supervisor did not agree to find a solution that would work for us. If it wasn’t up to her I would have given them a one star...

The assiette (dish with local meats) was good. After this we should have left. I ordered a Trois Lacs Pizza (with egg, pepper and smoked trout). Apparently somebody made a mistake because they brought me a vegetarian pizza. When I pointed this out they took the pizza and I heard somebody saying the word "Saumon" (French for salmon). A few minutes later my vegetarian pizza reappeared but somebody had taken the effort to disguise my vegetarian pizza by putting smoked salmon on top of the same pizza they took away from me. I know how to distinguish a trout from a salmon, and maybe I could have agreed with this because everybody can make a mistake, but they kept lying about this and that's not how a restaurant should act when a mistake...
