Visited on our first evening in Saint Germain, as we do like to enjoy and Indian wherever we are staying. Friendly welcome from staff, seated inside thru to the left at the window, also nice seating area as you enter and an area outside. We ordered a bottle of white wine not cheap (compared to back home) at €25 (but we found most places we visited were the same) ordered onion bhajee and mixed pakora starters to share, with chutneys, then a poulet (chicken) tandoori, and a poulet tikka dish with rice , naan bread and a chapati, all our food was freshly prepared, well presented and very tasty, we always enjoy seeing how different countries prepare and present their food, especially onion bhajees, we over the years have had some wonderful shapes and sizes but normally just a variation of the standard shape with the crusty pieces to bite off :) also naan breads, always different :) we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and food, our luvly server gave prompt friendly chatty service, the restaurant started to fill up as we dined always a good sign , we too cannot understand the bad reviews here on here, I personally always wonder if these reviews are deliberately posted to keep the restaurants star ratings low. But we thoroughly enjoyed our evening here, just a pity we didn't manage a return visit before we had to return home. Highly recommend a visit here if you enjoy Indian...
Read moreHad not visited for a few years & had heard mixed reviews from friends, however I was very impressed. As a brit I have high standards for Indian cuisine, and this restaurant met those standards very well. I am vegetarian & was allowed to go off menu, they prepared a mushroom madras for me, there was no hesitation when I asked if it was possible. One slight hiccup, my colleague & i ordered starters to share, & the samosas that arrived had meat in them, this was most likely my friends error, but the waiter overheard & provided me with extra vegetarian samosas. My colleague who had been feeling off colour all day suddenly felt worse so we had to leave, the staff were extremely helpful changing our order to a takeaway. Once I arrived home I ate the curry, rice & naan bread, considering I needed to reheat this i was still very impressed with the flavours of the curry, hot but with lots of different flavours. This is not only the best Indian restaurant i have been to in France it is very comparable to many I have visited in the UK. Will definitely be going again. Hopefully without a sick...
