Les Rives de La Courtille — Restaurant in Saint-Germain-en-Laye

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Les Rives de La Courtille in Rueil Malmaison near Paris, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere.

For my three-course dinner, I started with the Samossa with duck filling, which was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the texture was just right. For my main course, I had the grilled sea bass fish, which was cooked to perfection and served with a side of vegetables that were fresh and flavorful.

To finish off my meal, I indulged in the Cafe Gourmand, which was a delightful combination of coffee and mini desserts. It was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal.

Very bad service and waiters behavior. The surrounding is fabulous, but people and the service are worst than ever. Among other orders, there was a hot milk. It was served in a water glass. And when we asked for it to be served in a cup instead, as should be the case in any self-respecting establishment, we were given the cup without the saucer. A cup that was almost thrown in our face. The white wine was almost boiling, and don't think about getting an ice tray to cool it down, and especially not complaining if you don't want to be escorted back. In short, the list is too long... Cadre sympathique au bord de la Seine. Nous avons été accueillis (2 couverts) même si nous n'étions pas attendus (pas réservé). Nous avons eu une table mi-terrasse / mi-intérieur ( il faisait très beau). C'est un bon compromis. Les entrées étaient très sympa plutôt gastronomiques. Les plats étaient bons, mais sans plus. Les frites du burger servies dans le senpiternel panier à frites que l'on trouve partout maintenant. Rien d'original. Surtout quand on est sur une petite table et que les accessoires superflus sont vite encombrants. Deux remarques : s'il nous a été demandé si nous prenions l'apéro, à aucun moment la serveuse ne s'est inquiétée de prendre la commande des vins. À aucun moment il nous a été proposé de l'eau. Nous avons dû réclamer le vin et l'eau... Nous avons certainement étés par la fille d'un bédouin ☺️.

Nous avons demandé de la mayonnaise pour accompagner les frites, on nous a mis des sachets de mayonnaise Heinz sur la table. Nous nous attendions à de la mayonnaise maison. Ça, j'avoue, c'est pas très classe et ça manque de standing. Je dirais même "la honte". On est passé chez Mac Do quand même !

Pour terminer. Dessert "abricots au romarin avec boule de glace citron vert" 🤮. Le plat est arrivé brûlant, je me suis même brûlé avec les abricots. Trop de romarin, bref . Très mauvais équilibre, que ce soit sur le chaud/froid ou sur le sucré/salé croquant/mou. C'est raté.

Note finale 6/10. Ce qui n'est pas si mal compte tenu du dessert que j'ai laissé intégralement dans son plat. Le carde y est pour beaucoup. Le service est rapide, c'est à noter quand même. Un bon point.
