le Yeti — Restaurant in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

DO NOT EAT HERE. This place is a serious health risk.

We ordered the 4 meats dish with 5 sauces for 4, it came as gourmet (to cook ourselves at the table) which wasn't clear from the menu at all.

Our plates came and it was half raw meat (including chicken!) and half salad and raw vegetables. Raw chicken was touching the salad, vegetables and red meat. Everyone knows this is a big no no and a serious health concern (salmonella), but apparently this "restaurant" does not. I can't even imagine what happens in the kitchen itself. Health inspection would (and should) shut this place down immediately.

We did not get any spices to season the meat, had to steal pepper and salt from a different table.

The 5 sauces were cheap supermarket sauces instead of the nicer meat sauces like forestière or pepper sauce we all expected. We had to ask for oil to cook the meat ourselves too.

The restaurant area of the place was full, so we were seated in the bar area, which wasn't cozy at all, with constant traffic passing by our table and people talking loudly at the bar.

The single positive thing to be said is our server was friendly, and quick to bring our food. But that's not really a surprise since it takes 0 effort from the restaurant to prepare this dish. When we told him the food was bad, he didn't even...

Not much to say, the manager and his son ended up in a fight with one of the guests out of the blue without anything happening. They keep on kicking into his face while the guest was on the ground. it seems this is a criminal location, avoid it if you don't want to end up in a kickboxing fight with the manager and his friends. I also witnessed the manager to punch a young woman in her face a couple of times with a full fist. unbelievable people still come here. I heard from local people that there are frequent fights during evenings. specially the manager and his son are quite aggressive when they are drunk or under the influence of something else. We went to Le Corbier on a skiing holiday with a large party of 30, we went to Le Yeti twice for food and drink, my husband had to keep clearing empty glasses from the table, which he didn’t even get a smile, let alone a thank you for, on both occasions the waiter, who we were told was the owner was incredibly rude, he refused to even give us menus and those who were fortunate enough to get food had to wait half an hour until everyone in their family was served, they made it very clear we weren’t welcome so we never went back which meant they lost out on a lot of money, steer clear at all costs, especially if...
