Le Hoggar — Restaurant in Saint-Malo

Tl,dr: looked nice, I was denied entrance because I was traveling alone. Very rude.

The place looked really nice and since it had a good star rating, I wanted to try it out. I am traveling alone and when I asked for a spot, they wanted to know how many people we were. The place was literally empty. I said I was only one person, to which the waiter (rudely) responded that I had to leave. They apparently wouldn’t let any visitors inside that wanted to eat there alone, so I was refused entrance. I honestly felt offended and kind of crushed emotionally. My wife and I stayed in Saint-Malo for our honeymoon and ate many delicious meals there but our favorite by far was the Le Hoggar set meal for two. We had a sampling of almost all of their meat dishes, along with the couscous and savory soup with a number of dips, sauces, chutneys and sides. They were all delicious, every single one of them. The owners and staff were wonderful as well, very welcoming and warm.
