I booked a prestige sea view room for an overnight stay at Le Querrien, Cancale. I was fortunate that paid parking was available immediately opposite the hotel. At first impression, we weren't impressed with the room, Room 8 on the first floor. It had a sea view but a wall on one side and the roof of the restaurant was the first thing you saw before the view. We looked at another room on the 3rd floor that was pokey and depressing so decided to stay where we were. The room grew on me a little. The hotel is very well located in the centre of Cancale but just far enough from the main drag of restaurants. We looked to eat at Le Querrien as we had lunched there before but the menus didn't really grab us for the price and it was well down on TripAdvisor for eating. We didn't opt for breakfast as we wanted to eat lunch in Dinan before heading to the ferry in Saint Malo. The room was spacious enough with a fridge and separate bathroom and separate toilet en-suite. There was a safe in the wardrobe but strangely, it wasn't secured so if I had put valuables in it, someone could have walked into the room, picked it up and fled, safe and all! The bed was comfortable and coffee making facilities were provided with a kettle but strangely, no milk! All in all, we had a pleasant overnight stay at Le Querrien and if revisiting I would consider it again for an...

It is very clean and shipshape. There are 15 rooms up above the popular restaurant, a majority with a sea view. Our room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. A decent shower and a bathroom with better lighting than many hotels at a higher price point. Comfortable bed and quality linens.||Great location, just beyond the heart of the restaurant/shopping district. You need to fend for yourself as to the city's pay parking. Probably not a good idea for us to arrive on a Sunday afternoon as we did. We learned that even when a lot is "complet", folks tend to queue in their cars until a space opens up. Once you find a space, you can get a discount from the city for staying overnight at this hotel. ||It was quiet during our stay. Breakfast was fine, if not exceptional.||There are 17 half steps up a spiral staircase to the first floor, and more to the next. Well lit, and with a strong railing, but obviously not for everybody as there is no elevator.||Love the vintage shipping posters in the hallway and the slightly funky lamps in our room. Reasonable price considering the optimal location and the expensive...

Located on the route along the harbor with beautiful sea views. Large terrace that is spacious. Inside the restaurant the decor is 'nautical' which has its charm. The menu is very extensive with many shellfish and crustaceans. Nice selection of matching wines on the menu. Service is hospitable and keeps an eye on everything. Ate 2 times in a short time, service recognized my name when making a reservation! Small minus were the main courses that were overcooked or too long. Furthermore, a great place where you can enjoy yourself.

Wow, parking was just across the road from the beach. The view outside to the beach was lovely while we waited for food. The service was on top form. They had a new young lad started last week and he was doing a great job. The food was just so good. We had freshly caught sol fish which was de-boned by the manager and the new young lad they did a great job picture to follow. You'll see by photos just how good the food was and plenty of it. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

A little way off the main drag, but still overlooking the port, this excellent restaurant with a nice shaded terrace gave us a massive plate of Salade Landaise bursting with smoked duck, duck livers and potatoes and some excellent briney oysters and oodles of crusty bread. Good Chocolat Liegois and Coffee Liegois. About €35 a head including two glasses of Chinon.
