Grand Case Parking — Restaurant in Saint Martin (France)

We had a wonderful lunch here. Memento seems to be run by a lovely young couple (or perhaps they are simply colleagues, but lovely nevertheless).

Note that this review is for the restaurant/food truck Memento located here (but which seems not to have its own map pin), rather than the adjacent parking lot.

It is operated out of a cute minibus, painted in a jaunty yellow color. There are a small number of seats and tables there; this place seems to specialize in making the most out of little.

We had a couple of the rotating specials; everything is fresh and local, so it’s likely to change by the time you read this. The French, in my experience, do not tolerate bad or even mediocre food, and our meal was delicious, with traditional ingredients mixed together in new and innovative ways.

I also enjoyed the music they had playing: classics like “La Vie en Rose,” together with some more modern Francophonic ambience tunes.

This is a great option if you are looking for fresh food that boasts awesome flavours without the fuss of dining in at the myriad of restaurants on the strip.
