Probably an OK choice. It took me a while to choose something, which is very rare. I asked for something authentic and I was offered a duck confit. It was a good puree style duck with mash potatoes on top. For a cocktail I got red, which was more ice and no scent of alcohol. Didn't offer us bread which they gave to all other tables even for people that came after us. They only realized that after they brought food, which they messed up as well for my son's order. It had to be sent back to be corrected. Atmosphere was just ok. There are definitely more lively places we attend on the island. This was the first place we visited on the French side. So I hope they live up to the standards I've seen on the Dutch side. When we walked in they inquired if we had reservations, which we didn't but we're able to sit us right away. It was extremely hard to find parking. We were circling for about 25 minutes on a very narrow streets. We were able to find parking on the other side of the street, close to 15 minutes walk.

I can't say enough good things about the food and staff at Calmos. My boyfriend and I took a chance on this place after seeing a couple photos of the food and man did it deliver! In fact, it was so good, and the service so excellent, we ditched our reservation the following night and came right back. When we walked in, everyone from the night before greeted us with a smile and said "your usual table is ready," which I loved. Not only is the food fresh, delicious, and expertly executed but the prices are reasonable and the cocktails are truly spectacular: inventive, well-balanced, beautifully served, and never too sweet. Highly recommend the Mahi tartare, the cod fritters, the welcome to the tropics cocktail, and the gnocchi. I'll certainly be back next time in St. Martin.

Bad experience here. Our server (forgot his name) was horrible. He NEVER came to check on us after we ordered water and our other drinks. We watched him go from table to table multiple times without even looking our way. Not sure if it was because we are American, but it definitely felt that way. He went to the table to our left and cleared plates. Than he went around our table and went to the table to the right of us as well, and cleared plates. After clearing those plates, he went to the bar and grabbed a liquor bottle and went to the table to the right of us and took shots with them. All while we were CLEARLY waiting for service. Never asked us if we wanted more drinks, or if we’d like to order food. Like I said, he never came back to our table, but went to every other table around us multiple times. We told a different server that we were ready to order & we heard her tell him that we needed to order. He looked at our table then walked away to check on a different table. We felt very unwanted in this restaurant. Great location, horrible service! Don’t know how this place has so many positive...

Oui, l’endroit a changé.

Toujours excellente.
