We are at La Baule-Escoublac, France for the second time for holidays. Frequently we attended for our dinner at restaurant 16Art. Two years ago our dinners at this restaurant were very good both the food and the service. Today it was the fourth time during this holiday that we visited for dinner 16Art. Our entree was a salade Marine; a very healthy and rich salade. Our main plate was for both of us a Cote du Boeuf. An excellent piece of meat; géant as we requested. As a desert we ordered a plateau de fromage and with our good choice of wine – Pommerol Le Lande 2016 – our dinner was completed. The food in general was excellent, but the service was perfect and very client-friendly. In particularly we like to mention the lovely, good waitress Imma and also her collegue Kevin. (A waiter, very attentive and speedy like Max Verstappen) In fact they made our dinners a nice event we will not easily forget and it promotes our frequent return to 16Art.

Read moreI had dinner here for two people on Sunday 12th May 2024 at 7 pm. Ordered two entrecôte steaks - medium. It cost 29 € Each. It was cold tough tasteless and inedible and was sent back. Had ordered a bottle of wine to accompany the meal. When I sent the Meals back we were asked what was the matter in a very polite way and were told they would cook another two steaks which very generous but we both declined - having. “ lost the Moment “ as it were. We were not charged anything for the meal or the wine which we had consumed. So good for the restaurant. You must decide. It was one the very few restaurants that are open on a Sunday evening in La Baule. That is why. I chose it halving arrived from the UK on...
Read moreThe food was truely terrible. From hundreds of meals that I have eaten in French restaurants, this was the worst that I can remember. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing (Tapas selection then Moules Mariniere), maybe they had taken too many bookings and were taking short cuts, maybe the chef was having a day off. Tapas looked like deep fried freezer food. The moules had no liquid at all. I hope that they resolve these issues before the 2023 summer season...
