Joe kitchen’s — Restaurant in Saint-Paul

Our experience in this restaurant was mixed. The setting (garden at the back of the house) with its trees and small fish pond is very pretty. The welcome is friendly. The menu is simple but varied. Orders are quickly taken, but then comes service, which, when the restaurant is full, leaves something to be desired because it's slow. In fact, with one person in the dining room and two in the kitchen, managing orders and serving all the tables can be a complex and slow business. We waited a long time for our desserts and even asked to cancel them! But miraculously, they arrived 2 minutes later! On the other hand, the dishes are well presented and the food is delicious. And the price is right for...

We’ve had a lovely time at this small, cozy and a little hidden restaurant. It’s a gem. There’s not a lot of seats, which makes for a great experience, seating is outside in their yard and there’s an open kitchen. Two chefs and one waiter. A small team lets you wait a little longer as usual for the food, but down a few drinks and it’s not noticeable at all.

Nous avons déjeuné dans ce restaurant récemment, et même si les plats étaient faits maison et très bons, j’ai été extrêmement déçu par le service.

Mon père, en pause pendant une séance de tatouage, avait un timing imprévu. Nous avons demandé à ajouter un plat en dernière minute. Nous comprenons que cela prenne du temps, mais malgré cela, le service était loin d’être à la hauteur.

Nous avons demandé des couverts qui ne sont jamais arrivés. Finalement, j’ai dû me lever moi-même pour aller les chercher, car mon père était sur le point de finir nos assiettes sans pouvoir manger correctement.

Concernant les entrées, nous avions commandé des nems à partager. Après les avoir terminés, nous avons attendu plus de 30 minutes avant d’avoir nos plats principaux. En tout, nous sommes arrivés à 11h45 et repartis à 14h.

J’ai informé le serveur que les plats étaient excellents, mais que l’attente avait été particulièrement longue. Sa réponse m’a laissée sans voix : « Vous n’avez qu’à vous organiser différemment. »

Je travaille moi-même dans la restauration, et je suis plutôt tolérante envers ce type de situation. Mais là, c’était franchement abusé. C’est dommage, car la qualité de la cuisine mérite d’être mise en avant, mais l’attitude du personnel et le manque d’organisation gâchent clairement...
