Le Tiki — Restaurant in Sartène

My experience at “Le Tiki” left much to be desired. Despite its superb location, the restaurant fell short in several aspects.

Booking - the demand for their services seemed to overshadow their commitment to customer service: we attempted to contact them by phone more than 20 times before we could make a reservation…

Rooftop - The rooftop setting is undeniably picturesque, providing a great atmosphere for pre-dinner cocktails! However, I’m not sure we need caviar nor overpriced cocktails.

Food - While one can appreciate the wide range of options the menu has to offer (pizzas, pasta, meat, fish, etc), I was genuinely surprised by the lack of culinary creativity and overall quality of the dishes. To make matters worse, one member of our party received their pizza a substantial 20 minutes ahead of the rest, and it was unfinished as far from appetizing. As for my own order of “trofie al pesto rosso,” it was a far cry from expectations. Instead, I was served what appeared to be ordinary Barilla cavatappi pasta smothered in a tasteless red pesto that resembled something one might find in a generic grocery store.

5 stars We come back to Le Tiki every year — it’s truly one of our favorite spots in Corsica. Located right on the beach, it offers not only a beautiful setting but also a private parking area, which is a real plus during the busy season.

The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. You can rent sun loungers (bains de soleil) with full service right on the sand — perfect for relaxing and ordering a cold drink without moving a muscle.

The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes to suit every taste, including some really excellent pizzas. There’s definitely something for everyone.

One of the things we appreciate most is how well the design of the place blends into the natural surroundings — it’s clear that there’s a real effort to preserve the beauty of the environment, and that makes a difference.

Expérience très négative. Nous avons pris l’apéritif au Tiki entre amis, nous voulions profiter de sa très belle décoration pour partager un verre. Sous les conseils de la serveuse, nous avons goûté le cocktail du jour, en nous servant elle a malencontreusement renversé son plateau. Énorme déception sur le cocktail du jour, à base de piment d’espellette il était tout simplement imbuvable, il ne s’agit pas de goût personnel, nous étions 4 à le goûter, il était totalement raté et très mal dosé, le piment prenait le dessus sur les fruits que nous ne distinguions pas et les mojitos étaient quelconques. Arrivés à la caisse pour régler l’addition j’ai payé après mon amie, en revenant m’assoir mon amie m’a demandé pour combien j’en avais eu, j’avais réglé plus cher qu’elle pour avoir consommé des boissons moins chères et alors que nous étions une personne de moins qu’eux. Je suis alors retourné au bar pour avoir une explication, la même serveuse m’a alors répondu: « j’avais oublié de compter un verre à vos amis, donc je vous l’ai fait payer ». Pour ne pas gêner mes amis, je n’ai pas fait de réclamation, mais je trouve cette méthode de vente inadmissible et très malhonnête. L’erreur est humaine, renverser un plateau est excusable, mal dosé un cocktail cela est regrettable mais faire payer au client d’après, le verre consommé par le client d’avant car la serveuse a oublié de lui comptabiliser c’est du vol, d’autant plus qu’elle n’a pas eu la franchise d’assumer son oubli et de me le dire, si elle me l’avait dit je l’aurai payé volontiers.
