I had a wonderful experience at Byblos in Saumur — a true taste of Lebanon in the heart of France. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and authentically Lebanese, from the music to the decor. We tried a variety of dishes: the moutabal and hummus were creamy and perfectly seasoned, the fattouche was fresh and zesty with a crunchy bite, and the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The taouk and kebab were juicy, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. The vine leaves stuffed with rice were full of flavor and delicately rolled. Read moreWow! 5-stars. We are vegetarian and the food here was excellent. We come from a big city with excellent middle-eastern restaurants and Byblos matches them. Everything was so delicious! From the spreads, salads, falafel, etc. I will definitely go back. We’ve been eating terrible vegetarian food during our holiday in France and Byblos has saved us.

Read moreExcellent restaurant. Been twice in one week and loved it both times. Food is excellent, much that seems vegan is. The falafel come with a yoghurt drizzled on top, but vegans can ask to not have that sauce and then it's just lovely fresh vegan falafel!
