Taj mahal chantilly — Restaurant in Senlis

We stumbled upon Taj Mahalo Chantilly while searching for dinner after a day of driving and sightseeing. We were exhausted and hungry, so we decided to end the search and see if all the positive reviews were warranted.

Thankfully, they were! The exterior is unassuming and for a second, we thought they may even be closed, but we pressed on and found the door open. The interior is beautiful and the staff are friendly, attentive, and forgiving of our limited French.

The food presentation was top-notch and tasted even better. It definitely ranks among some of the best Indian food we've ever had at home or in our travels. For reference, we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Palak (Saag) Paneer as well as garlic naan (no cheese) and some pea rice and plain rice.

This is a very good Indian and Pakistani Restaurant it is beautifully decorated with authentic furniture, lighting and other decorations. The staff are very friendly and professional and the food is excellent. We were especially impressed with the vegaterian part of menue which enabled more choice than can be found in most other restaurants in the area. Our experience is that it's really difficult to find good vegaterian food at least in this part of France so this is a welcomed aspect to dining out here. Je vois qu'il est marqué "restaurant Guru" et bien c'est une secte où je ne risque pas de devenir adepte 🤣 Ou quand le TAJ MAHAL tient plutôt de l'ambiance de la maison du film PSYCHOSE , le serveur lugubre à souhait , m'a fusillé du regard quand j'ai demandé la carte des vins 😄,eh oui, PAS D'ALCOOL pour égayer ce lieu où tout le monde murmure comme dans une crypte...avec les nappes blanches a profusion c'est vraiment sépulcral ! Aussi sinistre est la bouffe , et le service en plus d'être funèbre est aussi lent qu'il est pénible ....beignets secs et tièdes, sauces délivrées avec parcimonie, qd j'en ai demandé d'autres le serveur a juste mis le peu que nous avions au milieu de la table, sans en ramener d'autres....
