La Brasserie Cantilienne — Restaurant in Senlis

Had a really disappointing experience last night. One of the servers was incredibly rude and condescending, smirking and laughing at us when we politely raised an issue with the drinks we had ordered, rather than either just changing the order or saying it wasn’t possible to do so. There was absolutely no need for that attitude, totally unnecessary. The atmosphere he created for us made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and to be honest I would rather we hadn’t stayed. He eventually did bring some replacement drinks but he did it with such distaste and no eye contact, like we weren’t welcome. I’ve not quite come by service like that to be honest.

He even purposely bumped into my boyfriend before we left! And let’s say, for arguments sake, it was completely accidental: he didn’t apologise for brashly bashing him in the elbow, which is still incredibly rude. To be honest, from the way he was behaving, there was no way it wasn’t intentional but fortunately my boyfriend didn’t give him the satisfaction of a reaction. But we both saw what happened and he knew what he was doing. What an absolutely absurd way to treat customers.

Massive shame because the screens outside showing sport were great. It would have been a regular for us in our stay, but due to the attitude we received last night, we will definitely not be returning. There are so many better places in Chantilly to spend your...

Had a delicious dinner here on a Monday night, when it seems most of Chantilly is closed. The server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant seems new and clean, comfortable and not too loud. They have a good selection of cocktails and appetizers but we stuck to mains. I had the house salad which combines fresh mozzarella with carpaccio and cherry tomatoes with a side of fries. Yum. La brasserie est très cosy avec sa superbe décoration très tendance et petit fond de musique très agréable quand au chef cuisinier et son équipe ils sont au top, PO le Barman est super accueillant et très pro dans ses cocktails et son service La terrasse extérieure est très agréable que le temps soit ensoleillé ou pas, un vrai plus à cette brasserie L’équipe en salle est très sympathique et accueillante pas d’attente pour le service 👍🏻 Les planches de charcuteries ou de fromages ou les mixtes sont vraiment à dégustées Pour y avoir mangé quelques entrées et plats à la carte et certains desserts pour une ouverture récente c’est juste succulent rien à redire Hier nous y avons mangés avec mes amies et l’assiette LA CANTILIENNE a fait son effet, l’incontournable croque monsieur aussi et pour ma part la suggestion du chef «  linguines aux encornets » juste un délice pour moi Les mousses au chocolat sont une tuerie 🤩
