Bistro Athéna — Restaurant in Strasbourg

We were literally forced to book the Valentine‘s menu a week ahead of our stay at the hotel, because they kept sending messages that it wouldn’t be possible to find a table if we didn’t book well ahead. So we didn’t expect to be able to dine there on the day before but the table was available immediately and we had a nice meal. Imagine our surprise on the next day when we came to enjoy our reserved well ahead meal. First we had to wait more than half an hour for the bottle of water. Some time later we were told that they were out of the appetizer from the menu set, so we were brought a regular appetizer and hour later. After 2 hours of waiting we were told that they were out of the menu and we had to order a la carte. As if it was not clear two hours before. After a long waiting time we were tired and wanted to leave but we were told that the meal would arrive in 3 minutes That took another 40 minutes and three people got their order and the fourth person had to wait another 10 minutes for the food to arrive. It was so long waiting and we were so frustrated that we couldn’t enjoy the meal and had problems going to bed with a full stomach. If not for the very helpful and friendly waiter Victor we would have left in the first hour but he made our stay bearable. En el día de ayer era la segunda cena que hacíamos aquí. Vengo con un grupo de 24 personas y el menú estaba contratado. Nos comentaron que pescado del día. NOS PUSIERON SALMÓN AHUMADO DE PRIMER PLATO Y SALMÓN A LA PLANCHA DE SEGUNDO!!!!!! Es la primera vez que veo esto en mi vida y he comido fuera muchas veces. Querido chef, te has lucido pero bien. Repetir plato denota la poca consideración que se tienen a los grupos con menú cerrado. Una vergüenza!!! Por supuesto el responsable no estaba, pero dejo esto escrito por aquí para su conocimiento

Le lieu et l'ambiance ont été agréables, belle decoration cosy, avec de l'espace entre les tables ce qui apportait de l'intimité pendant le repas. Cependant le service laissait fort à désirer, la commande n'a pas été notée. On nous a apporté un plat qui n'était pas le nôtre et le serveur nous a redemandé ce que l'on avait pris en plat. Nous avons pris une choucroute qui était quasiment froide. On l'a signalé et le plat nous a été ensuite rapporté chaud. Nous ne nous sommes pas non plus régalés avec ce plat local.
