My friends and I spent here one night during our hiking trip.||Than is actually a very good point to start hiking. It's 1 day hike away from the Grand Ballon.||The hotel is located at the outside of the center, but right in front of the railway station. Very convenient in case you come back train. Traffic on the road is busy, though.||It is a family hotel, where mom does reception, bar and administration, daughter waits in the restaurant, and father is the cook. All are genuinely friendly people.||Rooms are big for a 2* hotel and have a TV. Even the beds are pretty good. ||We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good. We had a traditional choucroute, which was so big some had difficulties finishing it.||In the evening we were served drinks until 22.00 when the hotel closes.||Breakfast was varied: cheese, yoghurts, croissants, different kinds of bread, juices...||There is no elevator in the hotel, so not suited for people...

This hotel checks all the boxes: good value, friendly staff, comfortable, clean, and in a good location. We stayed in a double room, which was small by American standards but completely adequate for a night's stay. The bed was comfortable and extra pillows and blanket were available. Our bathroom was updated and clean and included a stand-up shower and towel warming rack. The room also had a desk, closet, a couple of chairs and a small TV. The hotel is located on the main street that runs through Thann and is across from the train station. Parking is plentiful right next to the hotel.
