Il Parasole di Marco — Restaurant in Toulon

I confirm what i read from another review: extremely arrogant waiter. (don't know about the owner though). Waitress wouldn't cancel an orange juice I just ordered for my son while she was still taking other items to order (she argued her cellphone connected to their system wouldn't let her... which is obviously a lie). Then she wouldn't let us order what we wanted from the menu threatening to apply an extra service fee if each of us (2 families, 3 kids) was not going to order a main dish! (some of us were planning to have an appetizer, not an entree but a dessert rather! She simply wouldn't let us!... at this point i realized we should have just cancelled everything an left). For the rest of the dinner, the waitress was just plain annoying and provocative with us. At the end of the entrees, she even made us clear out our own plates and silverware, repeatedly interrupting our conversation with an obvious mark of contempt and disrespect. Read other negative comments, you will see this is not the first occurence...

While in Toulon, France we did not know that you need reservations at a restaurant to enjoy the public beach. So, after being turned down by literally every bistro on the beach side we made one last effort to see if we could get some chairs, umbrellas and food to enjoy the beach. The staff at Il Parasole took us in and we were sooooo grateful! Plus, the food and drinks menu was tops. Il Parasole is at the south end of the beach and bit of ways down, but the location was perfect to not only go to the beach, but also the town park to check out the vendors. The costs were fair to hang out there for the day and the staff was fun and pleasant. However, if you are going to the beach make sure you make reservations ahead of time so that you are not going door to door and being turned down. Great beach, great staff and we had a...

Siamo stati due volte in questa pizzeria.

La prima volta, pizza molto buona ma resto comunque un po' basita dalla risposta della cameriera quando chiedo del peperoncino / olio piccante per la mia pizza : "il pizzaiolo rifiuta di metterlo perchè rovina il sapore della pizza" ; dovrebbe essere una pizzeria italiana e in Italia NESSUNO darebbe una risposta del genere, anche a Napoli danno il peperoncino in qualunque pizzeria. Ma va bene, per il resto tutto ok.

La seconda volta (Sabato 16 Agosto), il mio ragazzo ordina la pizza Delizia di Limone : totale assenza del limone sulla pizza. Il suo errore è stato quello di finire la pizza e di farlo notare soltanto dopo. Quando lo comunichiamo alla cameriera, lei ci risponde : "non lo mettiamo più perchè molti clienti si sono lamentati del limone sulla pizza". Questa risposta e mancanza totale di professionalità ci lascia alquanto sconvolti, tant'è che rispondiamo di esssere venuti 15 giorni prima e di aver comunque trovato il limone sulla pizza (ricordiamo il nome Delizia di Limone). Lei chiama la sua manager, che invece si scusa e ci dice che il pizzaiolo è in ferie e la persona che l'ha sostituito l'ha dimenticato. Per quanto riguarda la mia, richiedo il peperoncino (lo vedo nella lista degli ingredienti come piment rouge grillé au four) : mi ritrovo un peperone verde piccante enorme (di quelli che si trovano al supermercato, mai visto su una pizza neanche in Francia cioè ma di che stiamo parlando ?) sulla pizza, e sempre la famosa cameriera mi dice che il peperoncino de La costa degli Dei (un'altra pizza, specifico sul menu c'era scritto piment rouge) è cosi (LOL).

Mi dispiace risultare puntigliosa ma non trovo concepibile pagare una pizza 20 euro e dover ANCHE avere problemi per mancanza totale di professionalità.
