It was an "alright" experience to me. The place and environment really elevate the restaurant. Unfortunately, I thought that the servers were not really super friendly. When we wanted to get two dishes as appetizers (we were a couple) the servers answered us " oh, that’s a bit too much food to order for appetizer " — mhmm okay ? We didn’t ask for your opinion, you didn’t even know how hungry we were, and I felt embarrassed so I removed one appetizer (which we then regretted doing so). Moreover, the wait time between the appetizer and the main was super long, we waited +30-40 mins in between. When we ordered the dessert, I kindly asked if we could get it asap because we waited so long between the appetizer and main that we didn’t wait another 40mins for the next course and the server looked at me and told me " you ordered an appetizer no?" — I mean yes and ? How is this relevant? Regarding the food, it was ok. We got the Jacque Chirashi, and it was good except that the rice had that "fridge leftover" texture (like they cooked the rice and then put it in the fridge overnight which hardened the rice) and also, the type of rice wasn’t really appropriate for the dish, we usually would use sushi rice type and this was just a long grain rice. My partner ordered the octopus and told me it was way too salty. I ordered the lobster roll, and I was a bit disappointed that they chopped up the lobster too much and would have appreciated bigger pieces like an authentic Maine style lobster roll, but I really like the courgette slaw and sauces. The dessert elevated the review, it was absolutely delicious, we got the apricot vacherin meringue. Sadly they were out of apricot ice cream, but it happens, it didn’t take out the deliciousness of the dessert. Overall, the experience wasn’t that bad, but it could have been better. Since there’s so many places in Toulon, we don’t see the need to particularly...
Read moreWe hosted a Welcome Dinner for my daughter and her husband's wedding at this stunning beachfront restaurant, Petit Sud, in Toulon and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, Heloise was a dream to work with—quick to respond and accommodating in crafting a menu for our 85 guests.
The newly renovated outdoor space was breathtaking, with clean wooden furniture and a modern, elegant design. The area was spacious enough to host everyone comfortably while providing the most picturesque beachside setting.
Our guests started the evening with cocktails on the beach, and the Champagne Décadent was a crowd favorite. The buffet dinner under the pergola was equally incredible—highlights included the Risotto flambé in a parmesan wheel, Truffled Croque, Lobster Rolls, and the Creamy Stracciatella. To top it off, the desserts were divine, with fresh fruits and pastries that left everyone impressed.
The venue, service, and food were all flawless—I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommended...
Read moreWell..let me tell you about an experience that had us thinking about leaving France earlier than we planned. So we entered this place very excited to try the local cuisine since it had such good reviews. We took a seat and ordered some wine and starters. During our meal we were asked to change the table because it was actually reserved for someone else (there was no reservation notice on the table as we arrived and we were not asked weather we had a reservation). We accepted because we were not to make a big deal out of it an we were also hungry. We finished the starters (wicht were at best "okish", not bad but also nothing intersting, so I could call them max mediocre) and we wanted to proceed to the main course. We waited for almost one hour and asked two different waiters if we could order the mains, but no one ever came to attend us so since we also had our 2 years old with us, we eventually went to the bar, payed and left and had a Sandwich at home.. So..I could say this was the worse experience I had in a Restaurant in my...
