Le bistrot de Mia — Restaurant in Toulon

My friend and I like to avoid the tourist restaurants with the overpriced food and drinks and found this wonderful small bistro a short walk from the harbor street. We speak no French so the owner took great care to explain the menu of the day to us. My friend had sliced beef on a bed of salad and I had the grilled fresh octopus, both were excellent. The owner selected a nice local red wine that was so good we bought another bottle to take back to the hotel. Pistachio creme brûlée was a wonderful finish. At the end of the meal the owner shared pictures of her daughter and my friend pictures of her grandson, how good is that? What a wonderful evening. Wir hatten das Vergnügen, einen Abend im charmanten Fischrestaurant "Le Bistrot de Mia" zu verbringen und ich möchte unsere Erfahrung teilen. Die Reservierung erfolgte problemlos telefonisch, und wir wurden von der gleichen jungen Dame, die unseren Tisch reserviert hatte, herzlich empfangen. Das kleine, urig gemütlich eingerichtete Restaurant vermittelt sofort das Gefühl eines typischen französischen Fischrestaurants, das auch bei Einheimischen beliebt ist.

Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir vom Koch äußerst freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch geleitet. Kurz darauf erschien unsere Kellnerin, die sich als wahrer Glücksgriff erwies. Mit ihrer Herzlichkeit, Fröhlichkeit und ihrem aufmerksamen Service sorgte sie dafür, dass wir uns rundum wohl fühlten.

Als Vorspeise genossen wir eine Ceviche von Garnelen, die unglaublich frisch und lecker war, sowie eine Avocado auf getoastetem Brot, die mit einer Auswahl an Blattsalaten angerichtet war. Beide Vorspeisen waren eine großartige und sehr feine Komposition. Auch die Hauptgerichte waren einfach fantastisch und ließen keine Wünsche offen.

Insgesamt können wir einen Besuch im "Le Bistrot de Mia" ohne Abstriche wärmstens empfehlen und vergeben daher fünf Sterne. Die Preise sind für die Côte d'Azur angemessen – man zahlt eben auch für die Sonne mit.

We loved our dinner here. It’s cozy and off the main busy streets. Perfect for a romantic evening or family dinner. The owners are friendly and we had a locket conversation that complimented the amazing food. It’s cooked and served with love and passion.
