This dining experience was one that I will always remember. I thought it would be mostly about guessing what food I was eating, but it was so much more. What I didn't expect was the way we relate to people completely changes when we can't see them. We're all experiencing a new type of vulnerability together, and at the same time our listening takes on such a greater role than in everyday life, when we're distracted by so many other things (body language and other details we're constantly interpreting). It's really something to "feel into" people as you listen to them. A month later I still remember my fellow dining companions' names and other details that I would never otherwise remember from this 90-minute meal. It is completely dark; your eyes don't adjust as there's no light whatsoever. Our server, Nicolas, is sight impaired and gave us helpful advice on the mechanics of eating without the sense of sight. The staff also advised us of the tendency to speak louder when we can't see, so the diners generally seemed sensitive to that and, I think, tried their best to keep their voices down. I didn't come here for the menu, but the food was tasty, as was the wine. It was fun seeing the 3-course "reveal" after the meal with my fellow diners. This might not be for everyone, but if you can get past the first few minutes and are open to the adventure and the intention, you may be in for a very enriching experience. I wish we had something like this in my hometown, so I could...

Itâs super anxiety inducing as soon as you walk into the dark but absolutely goes away within minutes, I was surprised.
Cons: You are paying for the experience not the food.
The family style seating is terrible and itâs a super loud atmosphere.
A few small and positive changes would make a huge difference but they donât really care. All these reviews make a comment about how the noise ruins it and the guy comments back and says âoh wellâ basically.
For me the experience drug on longer than needed.
The experience isnât worth the price since they donât do anything special with the menu or the meal or have to pay for deco, lights, etc. they could have made at least one part of the menu a higher end piece of meat or something as an example.
the restaurant is hard to find and in a construction site. So the outside is hideous and they donât have to do anything inside to visually appeal, so it seems lazy to not make the welcome anything other than what it is, construction site.
It wasnât horrible since I wasnât paying but Iâm disappointed. I went only because I was gifted the meal.
If you want overpriced pretentious French food, dining elbow to elbow with strangers, donât mind not talking or hearing your date and to experience eating in the dark you found the...
Read moreMy wife and I were given a voucher for this restaurant by friends and family for our wedding when we visited them in France. We tried to book the next time we visited France (we live in Ireland) and they were fully booked. I asked them at the time to try and fit us in if possible as we only get to visit once a year but it wasn't possible. We tried to book this time but they will not honour the voucher as it was bought over a year ago. I think this is disgraceful that a company will not honour a voucher in any way especially as the voucher was for a considerable amount (âŹ200) and despite emailing them several times they have offered us nothing for the voucher, just told us that they are sorry and there is nothing they can do. Companies should not be allowed to do this - vouchers should be valid currency for several years. And exceptions need to be made. I run a small business and we have always honoured voucher no matter how old they are. People have paid for them, the company has the money and it is the right thing to do. Very annoyed with this place and...
