Shalizar is my number 1 Persian restaurant in toulouse i have been visiting the restaurant since 2016 once or twice a year and to be honest i have never ever felt a change in the quality of food it only gets better and better the restaurant offers a set of soup and salad for entree and one choice of beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetarian option for the main course and three samples of sweets your choice of pistachios, safran, or vanilla for ice cream and cream brûlée and sliced oranges with cinnamon this is a family owned business and the cook is a professional home cook with the taste of a five star hotel food the food is delicious you can’t have enough of it. The place is tight so you need to book ahead i do it all the time i never tried to walk in without booking ahead of time. After a long day of enjoying Toulouse my son and I decided to go to Chalizar to try something other than the French cuisine. As soon as I walked in, before even being greeted, the host came to the door and said that the restaurant was booked for the rest of the night. Keep in mind most of the tables were empty! I didn't think much of it and left, but my son asked me to call the restaurant and ask if we could make a reservations to see what they would say. So I did and was surprised to hear the very same lady who told us that the place was booked say to us over the phone that we could walk in and be seated.
