Stopped by with a large (3 adults and 3 kids) family for lunch. Kids (and I) loved the atmosphere. It is located right in the middle of the castle wall with exposed wooden beams and suits of armour. Be warned though, it is spread over many floors so if you stop by you could be in for some stairs.
Crepes were large and tasty. The kids really enjoyed them.
I personally learned that I don't like andouille sausage, but that's on me. Apparently it's an acquired taste. You have been warned.
One oddity, which I'm not sure if it is a French thing as only the Canadians (us) seemed to notice. First we noticed multiple dogs in at tables. Not resident dogs, but there with customers. That is a bit strange, but when in "Rome." shrug However then one person brought the dog up on their lap and had it start eating off their plate at the table.... Not sure what to think about that.
In the end however the cool atmosphere and large tasty crepes won us over for a...
Read moreWorst tourist trap ever! There is a menu in english so we were quite happy because our french isn’t perfect. Well in the english menu some ingredients aren’t listed. So two of our three galettes would have ingredients that weren’t listed which is quite disappointing when these ingredients are things you absolutely dislike. Especially when it wasn’t even just some leek but more like 80% leek, 19% salmon and 1% scallops even though you ordered a salmon and scallops galette not a leek galette. But the worst part was that we only got two of the three ordered galettes which left one of us without food. We tried to get the attention of the waitress but she was at the other side of the terrace. When we finally could complain she blamed us for not trying harder to get her attention, like excuse me? If you want to eat something good or something at all don’t go to...
Read moreThe food doesn't reflect what French quality, taste is! Pancakes were reheated and burned, very small piece of meat not very tasty at all. It's a 100% tourist's trap. As well, there is a very provocative warning message a the entrance (not even translated in english of course) saying something: "you have to be respectful, polite... else...". Looks like they certainly don't want french there that could critic their cooking. The only things nice: the place and decoration is nice and waiters/waitresses too. I also have to say that the responsable of the restaurant came to ask us to change our pancakes since they were more burned charcoal STUFFS than real and delicious french ones.
It could be a great place if the food and the cooking was more quality .
Note: I hate giving bad feedback. But I hope it will help for...
