La Porte de l’Inde — Restaurant in Vannes

I was pleasantly surprised. I gave 4 stars which is relative to my experience of Indian restaurants in France. After so many disappointments in the past, I nearly gave up on them. I asked for my vindaloo hot and it was quite spicy. The food arrived in good time, no complaints at all. One small critique, we asked if they used real paneer and it wasn't, glad we asked before because if I'd ordered palak paneer and got vache cari I would of sent it back and asked for...

I had such a wonderful experience here with my boyfriend! We ordered the chicken biryani, naan, and murgui chicken—and every dish was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The biryani was aromatic and delicious, the naan was soft and fresh, and the murgui chicken was absolutely mouth-watering. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be coming...

La Porte de l'Inde... Quel nom bien choisi !

Ce restaurant nous apparût comme un microcosme du monde indien, une thébaïde... L'intérieur, fascinant, se composait d'une décoration choisie et équilibrée : à la fois riche et sobre. Elle nous plongeait délicieuseument dans un univers oriental somptueux et élégant ; raffiné et coloré. Nous fûmes accueillis comme il se doit et bien installés.

Toutefois, les hôteliers semblaient occupés ou absents car les attentes étaient assez longues au début et certains clients partirent. Mais, sûrs de notre choix : nous restâmes. La patience est une vertu !

Le cuisinier fût très affable et jovial avec nous, ce qui demeura fortement appréciable. Les plats arrivés, nous fûmes émerveillés... Une qualité en forme et en fond se dressait à nous : l'effet visuel garantissait l'effet gustatif... Nous fûmes comblés. Et rassasiés.

Nota Bene : Aucun détail n'avait été négligé car les toilettes eux-mêmes étaient aussi plaisants que l'entièreté de l'endroit.

En somme, nous recommandons ce restaurant qui ouvre la porte à de nouvelles saveurs, exquises et douces, dans une cadre fictif...
