NeilVFrance Reviewed 1 week ago A real pleasure We had Sunday lunch in the courtyard today and were really impressed. A short menu at €32 for three courses, every choice looked enticing and we weren’t disappointed. Excellent value for the money, a good ambience and a young enthusiastic team. Can’t recommend it highly...More

CrnnW Thornhill, United Kingdom Reviewed 3 weeks ago Exquisite We visited the newly refurbished restaurant as a group of 15 family and friends. Wheelchair access taken via a ramp from the side of the building, we were greeted by the welcoming and charming Nicholas and were shown to our table outside on the rear terrace. What a transformation! The new owners have created a wonderful atmosphere, with attentive, polite and gracious staff and absolutely superb, exquisite and elegantly presented food. Choosing from 3 starters, three main and three deserts, each course was stunning and delicate to observe and divine to eat. Add a soupcon of wine - perfection ! 15 people, 3 courses each and everyone completely satisfied. Anais, the chef and Julien, the pastry chef are to be congratulated on their culinary expertise and finesse. What a delighful way to spend a beautiful summer evening - thank you to you all. We...
Read moreThis restaurant is slightly set back from the centre of Villereal but is well worth seeking out. The other restaurant closer to the square was heaving with people inside and out and looked a bit like a tourist trap (maybe unfairly) but with smoking outside and it being so busy, we had to look elsewhere. There were two choices only for a meal, one was a set menu of three courses and the other where you had the main dish and they brought you an appetiser and dessert of the day. As the set menu had Foie Gras on it, that made it one to avoid for us, so we chose the other dish. Firstly, we were served with melon with some seeds on it, not sure what type but it was a simple but delicious starter. The main dish was duck sausage and lentils. It was a very rustic dish, a little like a cassoulet but with lentils instead of beans. This was very good and made this restaurant my husband's favourite of the holiday. Dessert was a mixed plate of sweet dishes which were all very enjoyable. Value for money was very good as was the service. The dining room was very pleasant. ||||I think that the hotel could make it a bit more obvious from a distance that they are open for business. It was very quiet in there and perhaps more to do with the slight lack of advertsing from the business. Obviously at the end of the season, it is run with just the front of house and the chef but between them, they gave an excellent service. Just having two choices didn't worry us, we'd rather have a little choice that is well done, than a full menu which is not so good. This was excellent all round and I am glad my husband persuaded me to...
Read moreI've been dining at La Table de l'Europe for several years now, more frequently in recent months - almost every week. During the week (Tuesday-Saturday), they offer an excellent value three course lunch (19 euros), and the menu changes weekly. I also enjoy their "Menu Signature" (38 euros), which changes a couple of times a month and invariably offers wonderful food, with three options for each course. The restaurant has an excellent wine list, and for someone like myself who frequently dines solo, they offer half bottles. Service is superb and I am always greeted with a warm welcome.
I recently dined at a Michelin one star restaurant, and it was a huge disappointment. The food was not anywhere close to what I expected and the wine offerings expensive. Two days later I had a much better meal at La Table de l'Europe and left happy. If you are in Villereal I highly...
