My new Geogian family! These people are so nice and the food and wine are so good. I've asked them to adopt me.
The place is built in an amazing, cozy way. Outside has multiple small corners and a terrace. The inside looks more like a warm, cozy living room and house kitchen. While the sweet ladies are preparing your food, ask the host for a quick tour through the winery's and let them guide you through their wine collection. The place offers wine tastings.
Personally, I was flabbergasted with the quality of their amber and sparkling wines. The red wines had a unique flavor and were very high in tannins. The dry white wine is made from the same grape as their sparkling wine and has a little sparkle to it as well. Finish the tasting with their classic or maple oaked chacha.
As I said, the food was truly amazing. All local produce. All the starters are amazing, but the fried potatoes are a must try.
(!) Making a reservation is recommended since they have limited seating. When you do, ask for the Chefs table on the balcony right next to...
Read moreWe were in this familiar winery and it was a great experience! It was late, we didn’t have any reservation and we only wanted to drink a last glass of wine in the restaurant since we had alredy dined in another place. But when we arrived one of the co-owners asked us if we wanted to visit the winery and we obviously said yes. He showed us the cellar and explained everything about the traditional production of the georgian wine. It was very interesting because the cellar is located right there. After that, we tried two different wines by glass and ordered a cheese plate in the restaurant which looks like a very cozy familiar dining-room. They offered us home-made tchurtchchela for tasting and it was much better than the tchurtchchela we had eaten during our travel in Georgia. It was a pitty that we didn‘t order any food because I‘m sure everything is excellent too. We will do it for sure if we have the opportunity to go there again! Without doubt, it was one of the highlights of our stay in Sighnaghi. Thanks for everything and...

A home based winery started in 93, they maintain the winery with modern facilities yet keeping the age old traditional methods.
The father and son duo is very welcoming, well informed, and so friendly. We had the tour which is free for everyone, with the dad, he is such a well informed gentleman. Talked gently and well explained the procedures
The interior is absolutely excellent, be it the wine Making area or the winter room, outdoor patio or the garden, such beautifully and tidily kept. The food is the hero for me, from the farm fresh tomato Salad, eggplant ratatouille (Ajapsandali) or the erbokvrtskhi (tomato omlettet) and bread, it was delectable.. I personally loved the antique cutleries, which reminded me my grandma’s ones
The food is prepared by the local ladies, tasted like done by professionals. Also there are too...
