Extremely rude service from one particular female barista — and possibly discriminatory toward foreigners.
I ordered a black coffee (americano-style) and received it hot. When I asked at the counter if it could be iced, one staff member said yes. But then the girl who served me the hot coffee came over and aggressively confronted me, repeatedly pressing: "Did you say iced? You didn’t say iced, did you?" — refusing to change it unless I paid for another one. Her tone was hostile and unprofessional — like she took it personally, leaving me absolutely no room to feel respected as a customer.
Eventually, they did replace it, but the iced coffee was shockingly bad: extremely sour and astringent, and worst of all, there was actual coffee grit in my mouth on the first sip. This wasn’t Turkish coffee — it should have been filtered. I’ve never encountered anything like this from an espresso-based drink, unless the machine was dirty or it was made sloppily — maybe even intentionally.
What made it worse was that I had taken two subway lines to come here after seeing all the glowing reviews and beautiful photos. The place itself was charming — relaxed locals, cute dogs, and a comfortable setting. Sadly I have to leave a review like this, because of one specific person’s attitude.
Travelers, beware if you don’t want to be treated...

I had the tasting menu with espresso, aeropress and flat white. The espresso was ok, but the aeropress was very watery and tasteless. The flatwhite was too milky. My girlfriend ordered syphon coffee that arrived 15 minutes after mine and tasted like dishwashing water and smelled like old socks. We told the waiter and asked to exchange it for americano. Unfortunately that one was not good either.
We also ordered two avocado toasts with eggs. They took a long time to arrive and the second one arrived 10 minutes later than the first one and 25 after the coffee. Not a great breakfast experience. Also the price of 16 lari for a simple avocado toast is way to high. That's what you pay in a 5 star hotel here in Georgia.
We told the waiters that the coffee was not good and asked to discount the siphon coffee which they first refused but then called the owner and he agreed to discount it. Still the waiter said they have specialty coffee and most people like it, insinuating we don't know how to appreciate good coffee. She made us feel bad. We have been drinking specialty coffee around the world in many places. But this one is really one of the worst. If you are looking for good coffee in Tbilisi check out Double B or...
