Central Park — Attraction in Tbilisi

The old hippodrome is a lovely escape in the centre of Tbilisi. The large centre is grassy and you can always see people playing football, cricket or even medieval re-enactments... Around the edges one can find places to sit, a small play area and trails and walks. The whole area is largely undeveloped which is a blessing and a curse. Whilst there are no kiosks and ice cream vendors, the old racecourse buildings are now broken, full of graffiti and discarded rubbish, giving time parts a neglected look. It's hard to call it a park, they're building a park there now. But if you need a place for quality walks with your dog, then this is just great.
