Gasthof Rössle — Restaurant in Bad Dürrheim

I loved my one night stay at this hotel which for me was conveniently situated only about an hour and 15 min from the airport at Zurich, where I had to pick up clients. My room, 13, was on the first floor and featured a lovely balcony looking out over the back yard with lots of trees. The room was completely modernized and even smelled great, like freshly-sawn lumber. Terrific linens and lighting, super shower. Wifi worked perfectly. |I enjoyed a terrific venison steak with mushroom gravy and the typical homemade noodles for dinner washed down with a Paulaner Hefeweizen from the keg. All in all a terrific night and I left the next day well-rested and fortified after an excellent breakfast with high-quality meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and a variety of breads and cereals. I can highly recommend this little hotel. Note that rooms on the street side are probably loud as there is heavy traffic passing through at all hours. I could barely hear it from my room...

We did not stay in there but we had a fantastic dinner in the groundfloor restaurant. The food was excellent, well prepared and served in large portions. Also the service was very friendly and professional. We ate in the front room, which is done in wood and is quite atmospheric. I had the Sonntagsbraten and my friend had one of the 'Wild' (game) specialities. Both were superb and very reasonable priced for the high level of quality. ||Highly recommended for dinner in...
