We had walked past this place a few times and decided to give it a try as the menu looked interesting. Service was good and friendly. English spoken and English menus available. We ordered a starter and two main dishes. We were asked how spicy we would like our food. We shared an order of onion bhaji, which tasted good. For the mains, we had Chana Masala and Chicken Madras. The Chana Masala was nice, however, the Chicken Madras was not a Madras but rather a Korma. When we questioned the dish, the server insisted on taking it back and brought another dish - but it was another Korma. We decided not to say anything about it as it seemed the kitchen didn’t understand what a Madras was (which seemed very odd). And then, without asking, we were served another chicken dish. Unfortunately we had no idea what it was (the server couldn’t tell us either) - it was a strange dark red sauce with chicken that did not taste like anything we had eaten at any Indian restaurant. Read moreAnaya is truly my favourite dining spot! My boyfriend and I are regulars, and every visit feels like a treat. The quality of food here is simply outstanding; they serve the best Indian dishes I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend #73, their Shahi Baingan Paneer—it’s an absolute must-try! The creamy, rich cashew curry sauce is beyond words—flavourful and perfectly balanced.
You can tell that the chefs put so much care and expertise into every dish, with spices that are just right. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm, inviting atmosphere. If you’re looking for a fantastic Indian restaurant, Anaya is a top choice. Highly...
Read moreFood was decent. Too bad that the owner does not select the waiters more carefully. The young man was so unfriendly that we asked another waiter to serve us instead. Everything from his facial expressions to his way of speaking was unfriendly. Despite our request, it was him who came and took our dishes away at the end. Not once did he ask if we were done with our dishes. He was discarding naan and rice and even chicken dishes without asking if the person was done or not (or if they wanted to take it home or not). Bad waiters ruin experiences and I hope Anaya administration will realize it. I am certainly not going to be organizing any more...
