My husband and I did quite a bit of traveling in Bavaria over our 4 day weekend. We had a few three hour road trips between our desired destinations and wanted to lighten the load of hours on the road. We had been to Bad Tolz before and knew quite a bit about the area except where to stay. We wanted something close to the town center, but nothing too expensive. The website, from what I saw, didn't come with an English translation. ||http://www.milano-bad-toelz.de/index.html||When we got there we walked straight into the restaurant which was unexpected and eye-opening. Quite elegant yet incredibly comfortable. The matron was bubbly and sweet, to include a lot of energy, which was naturally endearing; we couldn't help but smile. The rooms were clean but sparse. GIven we were there to venture around town was acceptable as we were just using the room to rest for the next leg of our vacation. We ended up eating at the downstairs restaurant after we walked around town. The food and service was lovely. ||We didn't expect to sleep in as much as we did and given the time of breakfast we missed it. However when we went to check out, there was our table waiting for us as the matron adamantly said it was no problem and was expecting late arrivals because the weather was dreary. Read moreThis was a very comfortable stay in a lovely little town. The rooms are directly upstairs from a sweet little Italian restaurant and the staff were very friendly. Even though we were upstairs from the restaurant the room was very quiet. The host welcomed us at breakfast each morning and offered us hot drinks straight away and had a friendly chat.||Only issues was that there were marks on our towels and the room was a little small so we knocked into the edge of the bed a couple of times. The internet connection was not very good. It is about 40 mins drive to a main train station if you are planning to head into Munich although there is a regional station within a short distance of the...
