Hemingways — Restaurant in Baden-Baden

I have had the pleasure of eating and drinking here on several occasions. My German language skills are very poor. But the staff have always made me feel welcome despite me trying hard not to use me native English. The courtyard for me is a great way to unwind after a busy week at work. The service is very good even on busy periods and apart from one meal I had ( which I put down to one of those days) everything I have had has been nice. This is not a fine dining establishment. The food is simple basic "pub grub " But I have to say that the Special Schnitzel they do ( I think Jannine with the local pasta and a delicious Mushroom and Cream saucel) is one of the best plates of food I have had in the region for a while. Went for dinner with family. I had the Sauerbraten which was good. I would have personally preferred it with spaztle rather than noodles. I also tried the bruschetta starter. It had Parmesan grated over it which I wasn't expecting. They didn't really ask about allergies before service which is a given in the UK so do alert them in case you have any. I think considering it wasn't so full the waiter wasn't as attentive as I expected. With drinks taking a little longer. We had an excellent lunch at Hemingways. The food was delicious! The owner and staff were very kind and smiley! The atmosphere was also nice! We totally recommend the snitchel with the mushroom sause and the speatchels, the salad with the camembert & raspberries and the flammenkuchen!
